“Ain't Enough Cowboy Songs”  synesthesia painting inspired by Ashley McBryde

The details tell the story. The way the paint moves, how the colors blend & break apart, the subtle shifts in texture— every element is shaped by sound. Light catches on metallic hues, shifting as if the music itself is still moving across the canvas.

“Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs” by @ashleymcbryde didn’t just sound like a landscape, it became one. As I painted, the song kept shifting beneath my hands, its colors stretching beyond what I first saw.

The rolling rhythm, the grit of the melody, the openness of the chords— it all painted wide skies, mountain peaks, and an endless horizon.
And then there’s the fiddle. Its sharp, soaring notes cut through like streaks of golden copper light, weaving through the vastness like the wind itself.

This is my first landscape synesthesia painting, where sound isn’t just felt— it’s a place shaped by rhythm, emotion, and movement.
